Beginners Guide to Meditation

Beginning Meditation

Meditations can be quite hard to get grips with.

You have to get in a state of mind to be able to think.

Allowing the silence to echo your mind.
It's incredibly difficult if you are unable to switch off from noise around you.

However, the benefits of meditation are amazing.

There's a lot of information out there online such as guided meditations which are so much easier than doing it yourself.

Guided meditations

What is a guided meditation?

This is when someone guides you through the meditation in steps.

It's as simple as that.

They go through techniques and get you to relax and in a state of calm.

Next steps are to control your thought process, get you to envision and point you in the right direction and encourage you and get you to focus.

It's normal for beginners or even intermediates to have a wandering mind, you get lost in your thoughts.

This is ok, simply bring yourself back and understand this is all part of the process.

Meditation Techniques

There are many techniques to dive in to but I'll mention the obvious few.

Breathing

A very obvious one.

Breathing in for a few seconds and breathing out. Powerful.

It's important to imaging breathing in the positive light, and golden energy and breathing out the anxiety, fear and negative thoughts.

Control your breath, it helps bring you in a good state of mind.

By focusing on your breath, you give it attention and makes it easier for you to bring back your thoughts when you wander off.

Sensations

When meditating it's very imperative to take note of your surrounds. Really feel the body and be in the present moment.

Listen to your surroundings.

Feel your belly breath in and out.

Feel the tingling sensation from head to toe.

Walking meditation

Walking while meditating is extremely good for you.

Not only are you releasing endorphins for moving but you are being mindful and getting air into your lungs.

Mindful movement

Stretching the body gently gets you more comfortable and relaxed.

Also placing the palms of your hands upwards on your crossed legs encourages positive energy to flow in and out of your body.

Meditation is simple and yet hard skill to master. The more you do it the more you get into it. However, the benefits of meditation are unreal. Doing it alongside your affirmations is a powerful process and leads you on to the good path.

Meditations are great for healing any wounds that you have, may that be hurt, sadness, past anxiety or even things that are still affecting you now.

Working on yourself is so good for you and can really benefit you in many ways. Highly recommend.

There will be times when you do meditate and you don't feel that good after, but you will feel better than when you started.

Just keep practising and you will get better and manifest anything into your life. The important thing is to picture how you want your future to look like and take those little steps.

Much Love,
