Look after yourself

Stress took a toll on you? 

The whole lockdown scenario has taken a told on all of us. With new restrictions and cities/towns being put into tiers it's put us in sheer panic and stress for the future.

As one of whose working in the travel industry, we feel the effects significantly. I cannot tell you enough how stressful this has been on us as individuals working at such a time. 

I have become aware of much self-love I need to work on myself and keep my body in check. Listening to your body is so so important.

Take good care of yourself before it gets out of control. 

All week my eyes have felt strained, heavy and blurry. I feel exhausted.

I am sure I am not alone in this and all I can pray is that we all take good care of ourselves and put us first. 

Friday night I got the best sleep I had in a week, it honestly felt so fricking good. 

Also, this weekend my boyfriend has helped me to feel good. Taking the stress away from me. He bought me flowers and cooked me lunch. 

It made me feel the world of good. 

I've also been doing incredible stretching sessions and meditations as soon as I wake up to put me in a better 'place' of mind. 

These little things are what help me so much and I'm sure they would help you too. 

But my point here is, many of us are struggling at the moment. 

It's ok to admit that we are. 

We need to talk about it and do things to freshen us up.

For example, walking, meditation stretches, face masks, long soak in the bath etc. All those feel-good things are bodies are craving. 

Also important to note, to fill your body with good food rather than snacking and making yourself feel even worse. 

I mean it's ok to have a little something of a treat I'm not telling you to starve yourself silly but just in moderation and being mindful. 

Reminder: if you haven't already written some simple affirmations and gratitude affirmations and declarations and reading them every morning and evening can put you in such a different mindset so get in the habit of self-love.
