Take 100% responsibility for yourself

Do you take 100% responsibility for yourself?

Think about it for a second, do you take 100% responsibility for your actions?

I'll tell you now, most of us do not.

You can tell yourself you do, but until you understand what responsibility actually is you'll realise that you actually don't.

Let's get into this further...

So let's dive into an example

Do you take responsibility when you fail at something simple e.g. driving test, exams, procrastination, not completing a task etc.

Many times we blame others for our actions, 'it's your fault I didn't pass' 'It's your fault I can't do a task'.

Think about it, how many times have you done that?

I'm not gonna lie, I'm gonna hold my hands up, I have done this too, but you can change this.

GameChanger

Own it.

Focus on why you didn't achieve those things and work towards getting it.

Take responsibility.

Maybe it was supposed to happen like this so you could achieve more or work on a better plan.

The moment you take responsibility you start seeing the world differently.

You'll stop making excuses why you can't workout this evening after work, why you can't get up early etc.

You'll become a new you.

Just like anything in life, it's not as simple as an overnight miracle.

You have to work at it and put the effort in.

But you will get to a point where you own yourself.

Once you do this, you will see change.

What is Success?

Success is taking 100% responsibility for everything in your life.

Think about all of your achievements so far, your income, your debts, the results you produce, your fitness and health, your relationships. Every single little thing.

It's not a simple process or a quick fix.

We often play the victim and blame others for the bits in our life we do not treasure.

From a young age, we have been conditioned to think this way.

We blame our parents, our bosses, friends and colleagues even customers. Your partner, the weather, the economy, lack of money in your life all get a mention as to why we can't do things.

The real problem here is ourselves.

To really live your life to the fullest and create your dream life you need to take responsibility for your life 100% now.

This means letting go of the past, the reasons why you haven't yet.

Letting go of your excuses.

You've always had this power to control and make a choice to make your life different.

Up until now, you've chosen not to exercise this due to a number of reasons...

Comfort, lack of awareness, fear, ignorance whatever it may be.

Leave this in the past and focus on the now.

And remember in any situation you find yourself in, act as if you are already that person who has it all.

You will slowly attract this to your future self.

If you find that something hasn't worked out, ask yourself some questions to figure out what happened.

For example: How did I reach this result? What can I do differently next time? What did I believe?

You can read further about taking responsibility in the book by Jack Cranfield - The success principles. How to get to where you want to be.

He talks about it in his very first chapter.

Can't recommend this book enough.
