Eating Organically is the way to go
I recently watched a documentary about farms/farmers, scientists, activists and politicians and how they have turned to regenerative agriculture in order to save the planet's topsoil.
It's called 'Kiss the ground' and you can watch this on Netflix.
However, it is actually so interesting and has broadened my mind.
I already knew theoretically that eating organic was good for you but I never really looked into why.
Watching this documentary has really put it into perspective.
Glyphosate is the most used pesticide on crops grown all over the world and little did I know until now that this is very harmful.
This pesticide has a strong link and risk of getting various cancers. Although it can be very harmful to your kidneys and liver, as well as killing insects.
This is why it is being banned. However, this pesticide is currently still allowed to be used in the EU until December 15 2022 which is absolutely shocking.
It's absolutely a no brainer to be eating organically where the food has been grown with little to no chemicals.
Organic vegetables, unpastured eggs, and grass-fed meat is the way to go.
I've known for a while eating organically was good for you but I never knew the dangers of not doing so.
My health is so important to me and I will definitely be eating differently now.
Organic food can be more expensive but what's more important the price of your food or your health?
Do you want to live longer or have a shorter life span?
Organic foods have much more nutrients and antioxidants. This means that people with allergies eating these types of food will have fewer side effects or symptoms lessen.
Not only is organic food better for the environment but it promotes a healthier/ natural and sustainable use for natural resources.
Organic food is very much often fresher. Meat and Milk products tend to be richer.
An example in the documentary mentions about unpastured eggs having a more orange yolk and tend to break up less quickly than a supermarket free-range egg.
This documentary is definitely worth a watch and you can find some more information on the website here: Kiss the Ground
All the best,
