Feeling Inspired - Self-care

Selfcare 

So these last few days and weeks I've not been feeling my best.

I've been setting my alarm for 6am every morning and getting up at 7am after mindlessly scrolling on Instagram.

It's such a bad habit that I fall easily into especially now the mornings and evenings are darker.

However, I was doing my morning scroll when I noticed one of the ladies I follow posted about a self-care challenge.

This was made up of 30 self-care things to do. 

I was instantly inspired to write out a list in my journal and tick them off as I go. 

I sprang out of bed and got ready in 30 minutes of what usually takes me over an hour to do. 

I got all settled and started writing my list. 

Had I done what I always done, just keep scrolling I don't think I'd be writing this post now.

So I've written a list of loving and caring things to do for myself. 

I have coloured pens and I am going to tick them off day by day. 

Even completing more than 1 a day. 

I think it's incredibly important right now for the next two months to do things for yourself. 

Love your body and treat it with respect. 

Look after you.

No one else is going to do it as half as well as you. 

You can easily do this.

Search on Pinterest. I absolutely love Pinterest, it's great for ideas. 

Save them to your phone or write them out like I have and cross them off as you go. 

Doing something for you automatically improves your mood and your mindset. 

Find space and time for you. 

You are so worth it. 

You are worthy. 

You deserve this time for you. 

It doesn't need to last all day or even happen every day for that matter. 

Sometimes we don't even have the energy to do anything. 

But even something simple as going to bed earlier is the loving thing to do for your body when you're having an off day. 

Take this time, and jot them down.

I always feel so much better writing things down and crossing them off. 

It makes me feel like I have achieved something.

However you prefer, just do it. 

It will make you feel 10x stronger, confident and happy in yourself and we all need this right now. 

No time like the present.
